The Big Cover-Up Begins
THE big cover-up into the wildfires of December 2006 has already started.
A memorandum from Parks Victoria yesterday revealed that there were no deaths as a result of the massive conflagration.
Most people will be surprised at that having read about the death of firefighter, Don Dosser, at Seaton.
According to Parks Victoria Mr Dosser's death was not due to the fires and astoundingly the Victoria Police are treating it as a motor vehicle death. Don Dosser is just another statistic.
This is despite the fact that the Seaton fire which Mr Dosser was fighting is believed to have been deliberately lit.
It now appears that there will be no Coronial Inquest.
The question that now arises is this: If those responsible for lighting the fire are apprehended and charged, will they be able to be charged with offences in relation to Mr Dosser's death?

If I didn't know better, I'd think you were kidding. What a disgrace this is.
I'd like to see (yeah, this will only happen while I'm sleeping) Bracks take some responsibility for what he's done while he's been in power. And I would definitely like to see people charged with starting fires charged with every offence possible, especially death, serious injury, and destruction of property.
There should definitely be an inquest into Mr. Dosser's death. He died doing things for the good of Victoria, I would have thought that Bracks would at least owe his memory the truth.

It is a disgrace, Ash. An absolute disgrace. But I'm hoping the media will pursue the government over it.
Hope you had a Great Christmas, mate. We'll catch up in the New Year.

I had a fantastic Christmas Phil, enjoying the beautiful island of Oahu. The only downside was the other half's family, but it vastly improved once I had the first argument with them. Always clears the air. I hope you had a great Christmas too, especially with the snow.
Did the snow ease things up a bit?
I suspect Bracks is about to feel the heat from a whole bunch of different areas, I hope he's ready for it.

Oh man. This is why arson has historically been treated as a capital crime (hanging offense). When arson fires kill, the arsonist is a murderer. Case closed.
